The aim of the High-Fliers Operational Manual for University Science Staff is to impact on:
- increasing STEM, or science related career awareness, within participants;
- introducing novel STEM teacher career pathways;
- enhancing and promote creativity and innovation skills, and stressing the need to raise the importance of communication and other educational elements, as components of the tenure track for trainers involved in STEM-related education programmes.
The Manual is intended for University staff and to raise issues among STEM-related staff members as to how best to link University STEM-related teaching courses with the designed educational and personal development programme goals within each of the High-Fliers Modules. The manual explains the purpose of each of the modules and how it is both applicable and important for prospective STEM teachers.
